hey.. someone here from H-F should make a ad for jin, like put it in html code and post it here so ppl can copy and paste it into their sites... ít'll help spread the word. The album drops next tuesday, so it won't hurt to give tha man a lil more promo than he has right now.. People can compete, to make it like they did for the H-F, banner.. or just make a few so there will be like a variety, good idea? .. hola-back.

[edit] if this is a good idea, can one of the mods copy/paste this in virtual insanity.. or like put up a sticky for it to go down, IF this is a good idea...

Good call. Ppl should put .html links on their own personal sites as well, ie Live Journal and xanga.com etc.

I think the idea is decent. A better idea is to gather a group..everyone just goes crazy, scatter, and give out little cards that promote the album..to the school. Or you can print out a couple of the album cover and say the release date.. once again gather groups to paste (which is the best choice) or tape (which sucks cause people can just rip the poster) around the neighbourhood. OR give the teacher a cueform..before class and tell him you really need his/her help by telling the class that his album drops..etc.. but yeah..good good.. I've already started bombing the bathrooms and halls..with "The rest is history, chinese rapper, drops oct 19th"

I like Phame's idea of printing out the front of the album cover, then on the back have promotional info (like tell them to go to www.holla-front.com, hehe) and the release date and such. It'll work like those promotional postcards companies give out, which work really well cuz everybody likes postcards, and the companies get to advertise through it as well.

More ideas to help promote Jin:

-Randomly telemarket families during peak calling hours.
-SPAM
-use local area networks to spread advertisements
-PA Intercom in school
-graffiti in bathroom walls

etc. you get the point :backwardc

SPAM is possible, telemarketing is probably not, and BOTH are extremely annoying and would encourage me to ignore Jin mroe than anything else. The other ideas sound good though.

NOT THAT HE DOESNT CARE ITS JUST BEYOND HIM AND ANY OF US REALLY HOW GOOD THE CD IS GOING TO DO. WE CAN HELP PROMOTE IT ONLINE BUT IT STILL WONT MAKE UP FOR ALL THE LOST ADS THAT COULD HAVE BEEN IN THE MAGS.
